Once you have passed, (as an optional extra) you can reduce the cost of insurance by undertaking the DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme (link to the directory of local centres) which is an assessment by the instructor who will teach you a series of advanced techniques (i.e., defensive riding, hazard awareness, overtaking, bends and cornering, slow control etc) to ensure safer riding. Once completed, you are awarded a DVSA certificate of competence.
